Sweet Emotions Bake Shop is a charming bakery located at 3506 S 22nd Street, which is owned and operated by Brooke Palmer and Anthony Taylor. The bakery was initially known as Sweet Emotions Donuts before Brooke and Anthony bought it in August 2023. They had a bigger vision for the business, which is why they renamed it Sweet Emotions Bake Shop.
Brooke, who had a passion for baking, started making cakes for her loved ones in the past. However, she wanted to expand her baking skills beyond just cakes. She chose to focus on pastries and donuts, which could cater to a wider audience. After Brooke and Anthony purchased the business, the previous owner, John, helped and trained them with their donut-making skills. With John's guidance, Brooke and Anthony have managed to create a unique bakery with a vast array of baked goods.
Anthony, who starts his day at 2 am, now spends his mornings baking fresh pastries and donuts. He is always in the bakery with a big smile and excellent customer service. Both Brooke and Anthony are passionate about their bakery and take pride in being successful business owners. They believe that "food is our love language," which is evident in how they run their bakery. They enjoy meeting new people and getting to know their regular customers. At Sweet Emotions Bake Shop, they strive to provide a warm and welcoming environment to their customers, making sure everyone feels comfortable and enjoys their time there.
Their menu offers a wide variety of delicious treats such as donuts, pastries, bagels, gluten-free options, danishes, pup cakes for dogs, and boba drinks. Every new item added to the menu is a significant accomplishment for them. They aim to make it the best and are always looking for new ways to improve their menu. During May, they offer special Mother's Day donuts, which make an excellent treat for moms.
According to Brooke, being part of the St. Joseph small business community has been a fantastic experience. She's delighted to see people she grew up with in St. Joe and knowing they have a small part in their lives is a great feeling. Sweet Emotions Bake Shop gives back to the community whenever possible, for example, all leftovers go to the emergency food shelter. Brooke and Anthony have achieved their goals, and their hard work has paid off. They are delighted to have their dream bakery, and they look forward to serving their customers for many years to come.
Sweet Emotions Bake Shop is open Tuesday through Sunday 6:30 am - 11:30 am.
